Finance gets personal through technology and tailored guidance at Fruition
A noise-free personal finance management tool
Personal finance is fragmented, overwhelming, and engineered against the average American. The path to financial security shouldn't require navigating a maze of apps, spreadsheets, and conflicting advice. You shouldn't have to choose between automated robots or commission-driven advisors. Don’t sacrifice clarity for convenience.
We believe that financial freedom isn't just a dream—it's your right
Financial literacy isn’t for the privileged; it’s for everyone.
Meet Fruition
Mentoro rebrands to Fruition to highlight our promise to deliver financial understanding for the earners and spenders who are seeking financial security.
MyMentoro
Mentoro launches MyMentoro, a proprietary technology tool suite built to serve individuals and offer financial wellness as a benefit.
In partnership with Mentoro, employers are now able to subsidize financial education and offer personal finance management tools as an employee benefit through a desktop and mobile personal finance platform. Additionally, individuals looking for a personal finance management tool are able to create an account and see their full financial picture.
Mentoro Group expands
Mentoro Group receives seed investment from private investors to bring resources and technology in-house in response to the global pandemic. Having reached tens of thousands through regular on-site events and financial education fairs, the company leveraged the investment to shift from a service-based offering to a more technology-based tool suite.
Mentoro Group
The Worksite Financial Wellness division is spun out as its own company with an emphasis on financial education and an institution-agnostic point of view. The strategy focused on blending mentorship and technology to bring about behavioral changes for participating employees. Through technology, education, and real-human mentorship, Mentoro launched its own offering for businesses - a financial wellness tool suite for employees that could be offered as an employee benefit.
Worksite Financial Wellness
The little idea from Italy came to life as Worksite Financial Wellness (WFW), a division of Merit Financial Group. WFW served as an education tool for corporations and retirement plans, providing tens of thousands of participants with answers to financial questions like, “What do I do with my 401K?” largely at on-site events at workplaces.
An idea and an aha!
Rick, CEO and Founder of Merit Financial Advisors (and our CEO and Founder) was vacationing (a rarity!) in Italy with his wife when he first had the idea for a personal finance management tool. It must have been the beautiful Italian coast (and the delicious Italian wines 🍷) that sparked the idea.
At the time, the idea of personal finance managers and personal finance management tools was new. Tool suites and technology were designed and built for financial advisors, not individuals or households. Through Merit, his financial services firm, Rick saw first-hand how big the gap in financial education was and how it was leading to a retirement crisis. Then and still today, he believes the workplace is the last great hope for educating individuals on finance and closing that gap.
